TERMS OF SERVICE AND PRIVACY POLICY
Effective Date: September 1, 2026
Last Updated: September 1, 2026
Welcome to remko.online (“Company,” “Service,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Please read these Terms of Service and Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Terms”) carefully before using our remote upload service.
By accessing or using our platform to remotely transfer files from web servers, URLs, or external sources directly to Google Drive, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
PART 1: TERMS OF SERVICE
1. Description of Service
remko.online provides a cloud-to-cloud remote upload relay. The Service allows users to enter a direct source URL or server link to transfer digital files directly into their connected Google Drive storage without having to download the files locally first.
2. User Accounts and Authentication
- Google OAuth Authorization: To use our Service, you must authenticate using your Google Account via OAuth 2.0. You grant us permission to interact with your Google Drive strictly for the purpose of carrying out requested file uploads.
- Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
3. User Conduct and Acceptable Use Policy
You retain full ownership of and responsibility for all content and files you transfer using our Service. You explicitly agree NOT to use the Service to upload, transfer, or store:
- Any illegal, fraudulent, or harmful content under applicable local or international laws.
- Malicious software, viruses, malware, trojans, ransomware, or dangerous scripts.
- Copyrighted materials, trademarks, or proprietary content without express authorization from the rights holder.
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or explicit, non-consensual imagery.
- Content that violates Google’s Terms of Service or Google Drive’s Program Policies.
We reserve the right to immediately terminate or suspend your access to the Service without prior notice if you violate this Acceptable Use Policy.
4. Server-to-Drive Relay & System Limitations
- Bandwidth & Rate Limits: Upload speeds, maximum file sizes, and API call limits are subject to both our server infrastructure constraints and Google Drive API quota limitations.
- Transient Transfer: You acknowledge that our servers act solely as a temporary pipeline (conduit) to download the remote file from your specified URL and stream/upload it directly into your Google Drive account.
- Failed Transfers: We do not guarantee successful transfers for broken, rate-limited, password-protected, or restricted third-party source URLs.
5. Intellectual Property
We claim no ownership or intellectual property rights over the files, text, data, or media you transfer through our Service. You retain full ownership of all uploaded content.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:
- THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.
- FILE TRANSFERS WILL BE COMPLETE, UNCORRUPTED, OR FREE FROM DATA LOSS.
- THIRD-PARTY SOURCES OR GOOGLE DRIVE APIS WILL REMAIN OPERATIONAL.
7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL REMKO.ONLINE, ITS DIRECTORS, OR EMPLOYEES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR GOOGLE DRIVE ACCOUNT SUSPENSION, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
PART 2: PRIVACY POLICY & GOOGLE API DATA DISCLOSURES
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and handle your data when you use our remote upload service.
1. Information We Collect
To provide the remote upload utility, we collect minimal data:
- Google User Identity Data: Your Google email address and public profile picture (used strictly to display your logged-in state).
- OAuth Access & Refresh Tokens: Secure tokens provided by Google to grant our application temporary authorization to write files to your Google Drive.
- System Logs & Request Data: Temporary logs containing source URLs provided for upload, timestamp of transfer, transfer status (success/failure), and IP addresses for security audit purposes.
2. How We Use Google User Data
Our app’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- Specific Purpose: We request access to Google Drive API scopes (e.g.,
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file) exclusively to execute the remote file upload tasks you initiate.
- No Marketing or Advertising Use: We do not use, read, sell, or rent your Google Drive data, file content, or metadata for advertising, profiling, marketing, or commercial gain.
- No AI/ML Model Training: We do not use your Google Drive files or user data to train, fine-tune, or improve machine learning or artificial intelligence models.
- Human Readability Constraints: No humans on our team will read or view your transferred file content unless explicitly required for legal compliance, security investigations of system abuse, or with your express written authorization for technical support.
3. File Handling and Zero Retention Policy
- Transient In-Memory / Temporary Processing: Files remotely uploaded through our platform pass through our servers as a real-time stream or temporary cache solely for the duration required to complete the payload transfer to Google’s API.
- Immediate Deletion: Once a file transfer completes (or permanently fails), all associated cached binary data or temp files are immediately and permanently purged from our local server memory/disk storage. We do not retain copies of your files.
4. Third-Party Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information or Google OAuth data with third-party brokers, advertisers, or analytics platforms. We only share information with third parties in the following limited situations:
- Google APIs: To perform the underlying API request on your behalf.
- Legal Compliance: If required by an enforceable law enforcement request, court order, or subpoena.
5. Data Security and Token Storage
- All data transmissions between your browser, our servers, and Google Cloud APIs occur over TLS/HTTPS encrypted connections.
- Your OAuth refresh tokens are stored securely in encrypted databases using industry-standard encryption protocols (e.g., AES-256).
6. Revoking Access and Data Deletion
- Revoking Permissions: You can revoke our application’s access to your Google account at any time by visiting your Google Account Permissions Page.
- Deleting Your Account/Data: You may request the deletion of your account and stored OAuth tokens by contacting us. Upon request, all tokens and associated metadata are immediately deleted from our databases.
