Fire Escape Usage Policy - Employee Memo

Dear employees, This memo is to reiterate the importance of using the fire escape solely when necessary. The fire escape is a critical evacuation tool in the event of an emergency and must not be used for any other purpose. We have recently noticed that people are using the fire escape as an alternative to the elevator in order to bypass it. This is not only dangerous and irresponsible, but it also puts your safety at risk. Please use other means to move between floors, such as the stairways or the elevator, and reserve the fire escape for its intended use: in the event of a fire. Additionally, the fire escape is not for smoking. Smoking is prohibited on all kinds of fire escape and can increase the risk of fire or other dangerous situations. We appreciate your compliance with this policy and look forward to your continued safety. Sincerely, John Smith
